Confession of an Imperfect Me #1

This is a big one and I think the only reason I'm confessing it is because it makes me feel a little less guilty. Very few of you have heard this story but I did tell my Mother In-Law, to me that's huge, so here it is...I THREW A PAN AT MY HUSBAND. A cooking pan, the pan I use to cook my hamburger with to be exact. Let's just be honest since this is a confession. I wanted to aim for his head so bad, but I refrained for the sake of my kids, and aimed for his upper back and I MISSED, but only because the handle to my pan feel off and the pan went flying. I have a dent in my cupboard to prove it. I was so mad that I missed I almost tried again!!! I don't remember a time that I have been that upset, OH WAIT A MINUTE, I just remembered one...In Provo when he came home and told me that he withdrew himself from his basketball scholarship at BYU and he wasn't sure where we were going to move to to finish college. That was a duzzy.
I know you are dying to ask what made me this angry so I'm just going to tell you. It was during one of my busiest months this year for Cool Chicks stuff and I was having a crazy week and hadn't had dinner on the table pretty much the whole week. It happens right? So one day he came home after work (he must have had a bad day) and just started telling me that staying home with the kids was a PRIVILEGE and that if I wasn't going to do my duties as a mother than I needed to go out and get a "REAL JOB." WHAT?????????????????????????????? Is that a joke?????? What in the heck does he think my business is? Obviously not a "real job" (I'm laughing my butt off right now :)) Oh that was it, the last straw for my week and he got the brunt of it. After the pan went flying he left and you know what, for the sake of us all, that was a smart decision! There you have it friends, confession #1 of an imperfect me. Let me hear you say Hooray!!!!

Where Have I Been?

I'll tell you where I've been...WITHOUT ELECTRICITY FOR A WHOLE FREAKING WEEK!!! A huge Ice Storm hit Tulsa and just totally kicked it's butt! But in all seriousness, do you realize what no electricity means? Have you ever really sat down and thought about it? I hadn't, but guess what? There isn't going to be a prayer I say that I don't thank my Heavenly Father for electricity!! We had to live on top of our friends Jason and Kessa, who only lost their electricity for 6 hours, thank goodness, and we actually had a great time. I organized their house for them, which I totally enjoyed. Daniel and Jason played X Box until all hours of the night and the kids entertained themselves with Jason's drum set and Kessa's bird. That was an adventure! Anyway, here is a picture of our neighbors pine trees being weighed down by the ice for all of you to enjoy that have no idea what an ice storm is and I'm back to blogging and back to normal life! Hooray for that!

I don't know where to start????

So, I've been back and forth from my computer all day long contemplating on where to start my blog. Should I go through my millions of pictures and write about anything that sparks a memory? Should I start with the present day, no matter how boring it may be? What should I do? AAAHHHHHH!!!!

Hours later...I think that I've made up my mind. I think that I will start in the present but each time I blog, which hopefully is more that 3 times a year, I will cover some of the following:

1. Confessions of an imperfect me
2. Funny Stories
3. Comparisons, such as, Rager vs. Bottler
4. Disclaimers
5. People who have inspired me
6. Fond memories
7. Notes to self...
8. Special or Upcoming Events
9. Sister Updates
10. Hoorays for my days
11. Whatever else I feel like writing about at the moment.

How does that sound? I need some input here. I'm thinking that sounds fun and covers pretty much everything. This is do-able and I'm excited!

I've been tagged

I had to learn what a "tag" was by my blogging buddy Christy, who, by the way, came over tonight to give me the low-down on the whole blogging business! Thanks so much for that Christy, you are too kind! I figured it was necessary since I have declared myself an official blogger. Anyway, back to the tag, here you go...

Job Titles I've had:
1. Anything associated with Rubber Stamp Company starters such as my mom. We had to do all the things that she didn't want to do in the name of chores.
2. Waitress at Brick Oven
3. Wife of a College Basketball Player, trust me, that's a job in itself.
4. Mother
5. Owner of a School Spirit Clothing Company for women called Cool Chicks Wear...

Favorite Reads:
It's sad that I don't read much because I really do enjoy it, but honestly I can't tell you the last book that I read... so, I for sure don't have a favorite at the present time. I'll work on it.

Favorite Things To Do:
I love to work on new crafts.
I love to travel.
I love to shop if I have the money to do so and I know what I want.
I love to take pictures, I should have been a photographer.
I love to catch up with old friends that I haven't heard from for a long time.

Places I've lived:
Roosevelt, Utah (10 years)
Orem, Utah (2 years)
Provo, Utah (12 years)
Rexburg, Idaho (almost a year)
Newport Beach, CA (6 weeks or so)
Stillwater, Oklahoma (3 years)
Trier, Germany (almost a year)
Tulsa, Oklahoma (1 1/2 years and counting)

Things I love to eat:
Cookie dough, frosting, pizza, chips, pretty much anything that isn't healthy for me!

Places I'd rather be:
Lake Powell in the summer time.
On a cruise with Daniel and no kids.
In Disneyland with the whole family.
Hawaii with Molly, oh wait, that's coming in January. Hooray!!!

Official Declaration: "I am a blogger."

So we have a group of 4 or 5 couples over about once a month for dinner on Sundays. It's a fabulous time except that I am running out of yummy things to cook. Anyway, two of my great friends are bloggers and they convinced me that I have got to blog consistently and people will read. My best friend Molly has been telling me that for over a year but she's in Hawaii so sometimes I have a hard time listening to her!! Now that things are slowing down A LITTLE in my life, business wise anyway, I'm going to try really hard to be consistent. I'll just look at it as a job that has to be done, like feeding the kids, folding the laundry, etc. The problem that I will encounter though, I know already, is that I will be blogging instead of doing the things that really need to be done. Oh well, blog on right? Hooray for that!

We had so much fun in Newport this Thanksgiving with Daniel's parents. It was just what we needed. Hooray for fun shopping places, the beach, visiting family, time to rest, yummy food, and all nighters outside of Circuit City for absolutely nothing!!!

Mothers Day 2007

Mothers Day takes on a whole new meaning once you become one. As I reflect back on my years as a mother it's unbelievable to me that Jaxton will be 5 in July and Blaykli just turned 1. Time flies when you are watching others grow and learn. I am so thankful for my beautiful, healthy children and for the joy they are in my life and I am even more grateful for my mother who taught me by her example and helped form the person that I am today. To all the mother's out there that have helped shape my life in any way I LOVE YOU and I think about and thank my Heavenly Father for you all the time. Hooray for you!
