Note to Self...

Opening Presents with a child with ADHD is just not fun!!! I'm not kidding, it was no fun at all with Jaxton this year. All he did was rip open his present, look at it, and ask for the next one. He didn't get excited about anything, including the swing set, the little stinker. Then to make it worse, he basically opened all of Blaykli's presents for her.
So next year, I'm going to mix it up a little and send him on a scavenger hunt for all of his presents. We aren't going to have anything out in plain sight, it's all going to be a game so that we can enjoy it for longer than 5 minutes. Santa is going to have to step it up with this little guy.
Blaykli on the other hand was so fun to watch. She would open something and play with it for 15 minutes and then go see what Jaxton got and play with his stuff for awhile and then she would be ready to open something else, but wouldn't want to put any of the other things down that she had opened already. It was cute to see how excited she got about things, especially the swing set!!! Hooray for her!

I love Blaykli. I love Jaxton too, but I love Blaykli a teensy bit more . . . she's littler, and her glasses slay me every time.

Oh, and ADHD gets NO better. Take it from me. That's okay, though, you wouldn't want a boring life - would you? Hooray for Jaxton providing entertainment value!

Hey Natalie! Don't know if you remember me, but I just discovered your blog through our mutual rooseveltean "fig." It's so fun to see where life has taken you and your little family is so adorable. It sounds like the Oklahomans have all the fun. Anyway - good to "see" you and I can't wait to read more "confessions"! They are hilarious.

Take care,

Oh, I am NOT ready for that stage. We only brought one of Jayden's presents to TX with us, and it was so nice that he's still in the easily satisfied stage, although when his cousin got a fire truck he could not contain himself, he was over there pulling it out of the box for him!
