Our little squirt is here!!!

Tyson J Bobik

April 30th, 2009

2:15 p.m.

5 lbs. 14 oz.

19 1/2 inches

If deliveries have anything to do with personalities we are in trouble cause Tyson is going to be a stinker with a capital T!! I went in Thursday morning to be induced, got there and the doctor came right in to break my water but I had no water to break (it's still a mystery as to what happened to it). Anyway they started my contractions but every time I had one Tyson's heart rate would drop and wouldn't come back up in a timely manner, which made everyone very uncomfortable. Pretty soon I had a different doctor and many nurses in my room trying to figure out what was going on. They stopped my contractions and started pumping my uterus full of fluids to see if that would help, it did, thank goodness, or an emergency c-section would have been the next step. After 2 hours of fluids they started my contractions again slowly to see how he would react and then got everything rolling. By the time I was ready to push I pushed for about 10 minutes and he was out. While I was pushing his heart rate was low as well and when he came out we saw why...the cord was wrapped around his neck 4 times and it had a true knot in it! Dr. said he might be such a little squirt cause he wasn't getting all those Carls Jr. hamburgers I was eating for him because of the dang knot but he is healthy and happy and eating like his daddy all ready!! He snorts a lot but I'm all about that!! He has daddy's nose and daddy's toes but looks a lot like Jaxton did as a newborn and the best thing is I didn't tear or have to get an episiotomy so I am in love with that little small head of his!

Happy Nanny

Getting ready to go home

Congratulations! Tyson is a cutie!

You may or may not remember me from your childhood years (we lived a block -or two- apart), but I've been blog stalking for a while, now.

My husband says you tried to drag him into a curb in the second grade while playing kissing tag, or something. Too funny!

Anyway, I hope you have a happy babymoon.

Hey Congrats- It's me- your old friend Melissa Burr- I heard you had your baby and thought I would find your blog again. What a crazy story- good thing he wasn't as fast or even faster than Blaykli! It sounded similar to my story with Josh. They tried to put extra fluid too but his heart rate wouldn't stop going up and down so they did a c-section. And me too- 4 times wrapped around and a true knot!! Crazy! But I'm glad yours made it out alright- they said Josh never would- he was 4-10. Thank goodness for doctors who know what they are doing and cute little babies that make it out- even if they were crazy acrobats before. Congratulations again!

Congrats again! That's so exciting. I'm so glad that everything went well - especially glad you didn't have to get a c-section. I almost had to get one, too. And no tearing/episiotomy - wow!!! Love that little head to death!
