Disneyland in the AM

We found some cheap Disneyland tickets off of Craig's List in California (try it if you are there, you can find some awesome deals). Anyway, Wednesday morning we got up early and got ready for our adventures in Disneyland. When I say adventures, I mean adventures, I don't go to Disneyland to ride the kiddie rides, I go to do the good stuff or it's not worth it. We took Jaxton with us because he's tall enough to ride everything and got there right when it opened. We ran to Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Splash Mountain with no wait whatsoever. We waited a few minutes for Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain and then we went over to California Adventure (my favorite by the way) and rode Tower of Terror and Soaring over California. After that it was time for a break and naps. Kristi and I wore the guys out with our "Disneyland walk," it's fast and furious, and it only comes out at Disneyland!!

Wednesday night we went back to Disneyland, without kids, it was awesome!!! Seriously, who takes kids to Disneyland when you can have so much more fun without them :). We were all just a little too excited to be there (OK, that was just me and Kristi...again!) We spent our time in lines seeing who could do the ugliest poses, faces, etc. You can be the judge, but first this special video presentation from Kristi to you.... The basket Blaykli is riding in is totally secure, I swear! I wish the bikes me and Kristi were riding were in here too, they are Daniel's grandparents bikes and they are DOPE! There is nothing like a bike ride on the boardwalk in Newport!

Except for maybe this...

I am in LOVE with the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. Besides my minivan, it's my dream car!

Jumping Jelly Beans!!!

We got this idea from my friend Mykelle and it was the funnest thing we did in every location that we went in California. I call it Jumping Jelly Beans, you can call it CRAZY!!! Here are just a few good ones that I got on my camera, ALL of the best ones were lost in a tragic accident you will read about next.

Warning: You may get weird looks from your beach neighbors when trying this yourself!!!

Caution: You may pull muscles you never knew you had while attempting these jumps as well!

Ouch!!!

This is after a week of healing.

Here's the story: We were getting on Big Splash at Disneyland and I was putting every ones valuables in my purse. I asked John if he wanted me to hold his camera and he said no. So we are riding the ride and John thinks it would be a great idea to get a picture of him and Kristi while in the log. He gets his camera out and as he is lifting it over her head Kristi suddenly yells, "Woo Hoo" and throws her arms in the air. Yep the camera went flying. John yelled, "grab it," and Daniel knocked it forward to try to save it from going in the water. I grabbed it but didn't have a good hold on it at all. I was holding on for dear life when the log decided to slam against the side and drag my hand along with it riping my flesh off as it went. The camera falls into the water with about 45 fabulous jumping pictures on it and everybody sits there in silence. Kristi starts to cry cause she feels bad about causing the accident and I realize that I could have lost a finger or two!! John was cool about it, said he was going to get a new camera anyway but it bummed us out for awhile. Sorry you had to miss out on those pictures, they were awesome! And John, sorry about your camera. I tried buddy.

John Crismon

This is John, everybody say "Hi John." We LOVE John for lots of reasons, here are just a few:

1. He comes on ALL of our family vacations with us and seriously they wouldn't be the same without him.

2. He is Daniel's best friend and was his favorite mission companion in the Dominican Republic.

3. He is like a brother to me, one I never had, here on earth anyway, and he makes me laugh.

4. Next to my father in law, he has the ugliest toes I have ever seen. I will get pictures I promise.

5. My kids call him 'Uncle John' and are as annoying to him as they would be to any real uncle and he puts up with them.

6. Because when Blaykli just saw his picture on the computer she said, "I love you John."

7. He can't ever smile normal for pictures.

8. He takes as many pictures as I do.

9. He is a great friend!

10. He grows his hair out just to annoy me.

11. Anytime I introduce him to old ladies they fall madly in love with him.

12. I've never seen anyone floss his teeth as much as he does.

13. He gets hives when he gets nervous around certain girls, it's really cute and so obvious.

I could go on and on but since pictures are worth 1000 words, here are a few more reasons we love him:

Kristen and Katie spent a ton of time planning our 10 year cheer reunion and it was a blast! Just like the high school reunion I was excited enough for ALL of us. In my defense (for being a nerd), I live in Oklahoma, so it's not like I get to see everybody all of the time, this stuff is rare and super special to me cause I love and miss my friends. Anyway, thanks so much you two for spending the time to let us have a night to reminisce about the good old days with pictures, stories, laughter, a special blog video from Michelle (our cheer instructor), cute t-shirts (that we had to win by doing something cheer related) and the trying on of old uniforms, that was a highlight!!! And also thanks for introducing me to those delicious cookies and cupcakes that make my teeth sweat just thinking about them!! (There is just too much deliciousness in Utah County) You guys are the best!!!
