Headed to Utah

I'm headed to Utah tomorrow to visit my Gramps who is super sick. I will try to keep my blog updated but if this trip is anything like all of my other trips to Utah, I can't make any promises!!!

This is what Blaykli does while I'm BLOGGING....

This child of mine brings me way too many laughs and apparently, she loves shaving cream!!!

Plastic Surgery Gone Bad.....

I don't know how she does it, but this is one of Kristi's many talents!!! Can you say "Micheal Jackson?" Hooray for this!!!!

Go Pokes!!!!

The Cowboys are struggling this year but we got to experience a fabulous game last Saturday. They beat Kansas, the #4 team in the Nation, by 1 point. It was awesome baby!!!! They haven't beat Kansas since Daniel's Junior year when they spanked them by 20 points. Oh wait, I take that back, they beat them Daniel's Senior year in the Big 12 Tournament as well. We did our famous Horse Dance down on the court for all of the fans and proved to everybody once again, that we are in fact, the good luck charms for the Oklahoma State Cowboys!!!! That's not self proclaimed, that's what EVERYBODY told us afterward. Way to go Cowboys, keep it up!!!

Show me your best SEXY face

I don't know about you guys but I stuggle with pulling a good sexy face. Here is my first attempt on my birthday last year with my friends Kessa and Lacey. It just wasn't happening!!!!

I tried again at our party Friday night with Christy and Kessa. Here are my favorites........

This is a significant improvement if I can say so myself!!!

Kessa (end) is our own hometown pornstar :)!!!

Christy (middle) said she really felt like she was sexy in this one!!!!

Forget the sexy faces, I'll stick with the smile!!!

LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!

Sweets with your Sweetie Party

Friday night my friend Christy and I planned a party for all of the young couples in our ward. It was lots of fun, although I've decided parties are never as fun when you are the one that plans them because you worry about everything instead of just showing up and enjoying yourself. Oh well, that hasn't stopped me yet and it won't stop me in the future. I love parties!!! We had a couples quiz where we chose the most random thing about them and made everybody guess who it was, as well as an "our song" quiz (that was funny!) We played flashlight tag in the dark church with handcuffs on and we attempted to play truth or dare but some people forgot to leave their bad attitudes at home!!! I forgot to take pictures sooner but here are a few that I got. Thanks for all of your help Christy, couldn't have done it without you and thanks for coming everyone, look forward to more couples parties in the future.

Engaged for 7 years....Hooray for that!!!

Feb. 16th, 2001

Today marks the 7th anniversary of our engagement. That was such a fun day! I remember my mom and I were on our way to lunch when we passed Daniel in his Geo Metro Convertible. He flagged us down and we had him meet us at Cafe Rio. There was something suprisingly huge in his pants. I tried not to notice but it was kind of like, "hey, is that a ring box in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" He tried to contain his excitement, but totally couldn't, it was so cute. That night he took me to Timpview High School, where we first met and he proposed to me. I'm pretty sure I jumped on him and almost knocked him down as I yelled "YES"!!! We almost killed the kid that was riding his stupid motorized scooter around the place and then we rushed to my house to show off my ring. I got my yearbooks out that night, cause I just thought it was so necessary to start my wedding lists right then. That is when I found what he wrote in my Freshman yearbook, here it is:

"Natalie, I'm really sorry that things didn't work out this year, but I want you to know that someday they will. Also thanks very much for caring about me when I was sick, and for that card. I want you to know that the reason I didn't go out with you wasn't because you weren't cute (pretty), but because I didn't want to go out with anyone. I really like you, I think that you're really pretty. I'll write to you. Let's do something in the summer. Love, Daniel Bobik"

Happy Engagement Anniversary Babe!! I love you!

Confession of an Imperfect Me #2

When I was at Ricks and growing in size daily I wasn't about to break up with Ben and Jerry, (like I have mentioned before they were there for me when nobody else was) and I wasn't really thinking it was possible to go buy bigger clothes, nor did I want to so here's my 2nd confession...... I cut the pockets out of my OVERALLS to try to make them fit better!!!!! Now is that pathetic or what? Like that 2 cm pocket is going to make any difference whatsoever with how my pants, I mean, overalls fit! Oh dear, the power of denial is wonderful and much needed sometimes!!! Hooray for that! The thing that really ticks me off though is now when I go to wear them I have no pockets and I need them.

P.S. I will post my fat pictures soon!

WHAT?!?*

So here's the story... I'm down in Oklahoma City last weekend for a Craft Fair that I had a T-shirt booth set up for. Friday morning I'm running a few errands before it starts and I'm just minding my own business in Office Depot of all places. I'm in line to check out with my "Cool Chicks Wear Orange" shirt on, of course, and an employee, a near retirement age employee, I might add, yells at me from the customer service desk....

Near Retirement Age Employee yelling: "Do you work for Hooters?"

Me, minding my own business: "WHAT?!?*"

Near Retirement Age Employee yelling: "Cool Chicks Wear Orange. Hooters is orange."

Me, minding my own business: "Um NO! I own my own company but I'm sure Hooters would be a great place to work."

OK first of all WHO SAYS THAT in their own place of employment?

Second of all DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A HOOTERS SHIRT TO YOU?

And last but definitely not least, DO MY HOOTERS LOOK LIKE THEY WOULD GET ME A JOB AT HOOTERS???!!!! It's Ok, you can look and say it out loud....NOT A CHANCE!!!!

This my friends is one of the reasons I absolutely love Oklahoma. Many people have absolutely no tact and just yell out whatever is on their minds. I guess if the guy wasn't near retirement age, I could have taken it as a compliment, but no, he gets a big old PERVERT stamp on his forehead.

And my story is over. Hooray for Hooters!!!!! My huge ones, especially!

Congratulations Eddie!!!

Daniel's OSU Coach Eddie Sutton, got his 800th win last Saturday. That is a huge deal! He is the interim coach for a college in San Francisco for the rest of the season. Daniel's dad Ralph, his grandpa Bob, his uncle Kelly and his friend Tyler, drove up for the game and the celebration. Congrats Coach!!!

and Speaking of Basketball...

This is a picture of my father in law Ralph. Isn't he a handsome specimen?!* He was a Senior in High School in this picture in 1969. Who else gives a Hooray to those shorts, and the socks, and the sweatband?...Oh, and don't forget the pinky ring! Ok, this whole picture is a perfect example of a "Hooray for Everything!" Sheri, send me more of these pictures!

Yesterday...

Yesterday for a split second I had a little inkling, a small, but very real desire, to start doing the "Firm" again. WHAT???? I know, where the heck did that come from? What's so cool about having muscle definition and a firm butt anyway? The inkling gets a HOORAY for trying :)!! I'll let you know if it comes back anytime soon.

Valentine's Day Tag

(answer these for you and your spouse/significant other)

1. Your Song: "Angel" by Shaggy (refer to playlist)

2. Your favorite feature of his: This is a tough one. I love his nose, cause it totally fits his face! I love his chest and I love his height. I also love that his eyebrows disappear in the summer time because they are so light.

3. His favorite feature of yours: My smile or my long skinny legs!

4. What drives you crazy about him (not the good stuff): He picks his nose when he is bored or reading, and he paces around the house when he is talking on the phone.

5. What drives him crazy about you: I drive off the curb when I am backing out of our driveway all of the time, and I can tend to be a little bossy :).

6. Favorite trip you've taken together: I would have to say our Honeymoon to Cabo. We really had a blast!! I look forward to our trip to Hawaii together, hopefully this summer.

7. How do you picture your lives in fifty years: Probably still in Oklahoma, old and wrinkled and still in love, sitting outside on the porch, in our rocking chairs, yelling at all the neighborhood kids that let their dogs poop on our grass, then laughing our heads off :)!

8. What was your worst fight over: It's a toss up between moving from Provo and when he told me to get a "real" job!

9. Most romantic thing he's ever said to or done for you: before we got engaged he told me, "Natalie there isn't anyone in this world that loves somebody as much as I love you." Tender, I know. He also sticks post-it notes all over the house with little notes on them for me when I've been gone for awhile and he has really missed me. It's cute!

10. Favorite "down time" activity: Probably just watching our favorite shows or a good college basketball game.

11. What celebrity most reminds you of him: Bon Jovi

12. What celebrity do you most remind him of: Hilary Swank

**Bonus** post one of your favorite pictures together

Family Flashback

Get a load of my mom's hair, that is awesome!!! My dad actually had hair back then, kind of... but I would have to say that my hair wins the prize...what's up with the comb over?....and the bangs?....and why did my mom ever let me leave the house looking like this? This is the last family picture my family ever took, sad. I was either in 7th or 8th grade because it was pre-braces which was at the end of 8th grade.
Aahhhh cute!!!! Kristi's buck teeth were the best. I actually really miss those.

Nikki Packer--she forgot to mention hiding inside of garbage cans!!!

Question 12- If you and I were stranded on a desert island, what is one thing I would bring?

Do you see why I love my friends?? If any of you want to meet the comedians in my life, let me know and I'll hook you up! Not that this is a competition by any means, but Nikki and Christy need to do these things professionally! Thanks for the great laughs everybody!!!

Blonde or Natural????

I just scheduled a hair appointment and now I need to decide- do I go back to being blonde or stay natural?? I want your honest opinion cause I'm really struggling with this one. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think.

Blonde Pro's:
1.Makes me feel a little younger
2.Makes me feel a little more sassy! (Not that I need much help with that one)
3.Daniel prefers blonde, but doesn't mind the natural color. (He would like me with purple hair though, let's be honest!)

Blonde Con's:
1.Way more high maintenance
2.A lot more expensive-although I think I can justify this as a business expense because "Cool Chicks" definitely need cute hair!!!!

Hooray for President Hinckley

Although he will be greatly missed by all the members of the Church, hooray for President Hinckley being able to go back to be with his sweet wife that he missed so much. Can you seriously imagine the return he had back to Heaven??!! Think of all the people there welcoming him back home. That would be an awesome sight to see. After all the hugs, he probably went right back to work!

My favorite memory of Gordon B. Hinckley would probably have to be when I saw him give his famous "Be" talk in the Marriott Center at BYU. I have my original notes to it somewhere. That was a fabulous talk that will be known throughout time as one of the "greats", especially for the youth of the Church. I love you President Hinckley, you will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for all of your inspired wisdom and the love we all felt from you for so many years.

We spent time improving our blogs (a big Hooray to Molly for my new header and matching blog accessories that she designed herself). We learned how to change font sizes, add color, add more than one picture per post, etc. You just wait for all my new tricks that I'm sure you already know, but for some reason I struggle. Anyway... I totally have to share with you my very favorite things from Hawaii, are you ready for this?
