Holy Crap! I'm a slacker and a few more things you need to know...

*I'm pretty sure this is the longest I've gone without blogging since I started blogging. I blame Lacey because since she moved, I haven't taken many pictures at all and then I forget what I need to tell you about. Boo to me.

*MY SISTER IS MARRIED!!!! April 8th she and Jake were married in the San Diego Temple. I will NEVER forget how happy she looked when she walked into that sealing room. She was GLOWING!

*The cruise that my sister took me on for my birthday was hands down one of the top 3 funnest weeks of my life! It's amazing how many people just assume we drink alcohol! :)

*Eddie died of cancer. We now have a new dog named Gracie who was given to us. She is the sweetest thing ever, except for the slight humping problem... don't worry we are working on breaking that little habit.

*Tyson is a turd! Straight up!

*The paper route is OVER! I did it for 3 weeks and about DIED. Don't have a clue how Daniel functioned for the 18 months that he did it.

*I work approximately 6 hours a week at Pottery Barn Kids! Worth it for the discount.

*I have a GOITER. Have to go get an ultrasound on Friday because my thyroid levels are totally fine. Hope you all will still love me if I develop a second head in my neck region. Mandi gets to name her but you guys can nickname her if you feel the need.

*Having 3 kids has pretty much KICKED MY BUTT!!! Tyson is almost 2, is it ever going to get easier? #4 ain't coming along until Ty Ty is in school ALL DAY LONG!

*I am having friend/sister withdrawals--its sucking the life right out of me AGAIN!

*My little sweetcakes is 5! She got to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder at Disneyland as a special birthday treat!

*John Crismon is married-- sorry single ladies!

*We have lived in this house for a year-woa

*Daniel absolutely LOVES his new big boy job!

*I traded in my black minivan for a white one. Now I really do have my dream car!!!

*I don't function well when I have nothing fun to look forward to. Time to start planning...

*I LOVE my new brother in law- he calls me Bobik

*My sister in law of 3 years finally got to meet my kids last week, she was a fan and I'm considering giving her one of them :)!

*Blaykli started gymnastics today! I think we found her "thing", well until she grows to be 2 feet taller than the average gymnast!

I'm trying to grow my hair out.

*I am in dire need of ice cream and a manicure.

Just cause this is the best school picture EVER!!!

Can't wait to use this one in Jaxton's wedding video in the future!!! He couldn't wear normal pants or shorts because his cast went so high up his leg and he had to wear Daniel's socks because the cast was so big on the bottom. That cheesy grin is the best thing I've ever seen!

Jaxton's baptism...

We had such a wonderful weekend last weekend with family and friends here for Jaxton's baptism. I still can't believe he is 8 years old. When he was changing his clothes after the baptism and before his confirmation he told his dad that "he felt happy and wanted to get baptized again!"

The mullet...

I will never forget Daniel's absolute horror when finding out that we would be having Jaxton in Payson, Utah. "When I think of Payson I think of Mullets" is all he could say. Jaxton had no mullet, he had a delmer (think Little Rascals).

I'm tired of my visit from "Mr. Funk"
Tyson said his first word yesterday after throwing his food off the table to Eddie he said "Uh Oh!"
Jaxton has a BRIGHT green cast on his leg-I'm impressed by his color choice!
He asked to die the day after his knee surgery...is that normal?
I've been eating a LOT of ice cream lately, we all know what happens when I eat lots of ice cream!:)
Fig had her baby...Vivi and she is scrumptious!!!
I need a hair cut.
My dog stinks.
Watching Blaykli swing takes me back to the good old days!
I love my fuzzy crocs.
I still need to see my sister, makes it worse that I was suppose to be there and didn't get to go.

Having this many friends move away in one year is WAY too much for me to handle.
I'm doing the Mandi approach and not making new friends with anyone who is going to leave me from now on.

*Fig is having a baby GIRL in a month or so....she won't tell us the actual due date cause she doesn't believe in them.
*My due dates have always been pretty darn accurate but I also knew exactly when we conceived.
*Is that weird that I've known exactly where and when I conceived Sweets and Tyson? I had no idea with Jaxton, thought I was dying that time.
*I love baking cookies, especially when I use my special Mexican vanilla.
*Meeting Dennis Quaid really wasn't that cool...(he was really nice though).
*Why do actors always look taller than they really are?
*I think we are going to be in Tulsa a few more years and you know what, I'm totally ok with that.
*I love watching sweets play with her bestie!

*I'm starting a new business with a friend. That will balance out my year and make it complete and udder craziness instead of just partial craziness.
*You can't find cute crafty things here in Oklahoma unless you look REALLY hard or make them yourself.
*I miss Utah for that reason and many more.
*I want to see my sister.
*Actually I NEED to see my sister.
*We got a new couch!
*Daniel and I fight over the comfy corner...I usually win!
*Tyson is a runt, well for our kids at least. He is the same height (29 inches) at 9 months that Jaxton was at 6 months.
*I love to see the Temple.
*I could not live without Baby Magic baby lotion, for myself.
*My husband rocks!
*He has holes in almost all of his dress socks.

*My kids are crazy! I often find myself asking why but I know that's a pretty stupid question :)

*And yes, my last post about Shaka's was complete randomness (proof I'm in a blogging funk) but my kids are throwing them up all the time. Blaykli even does a wink with hers!

*Did you know that Chicken in 'Surf's Up' does a Shaka, the penguins can't cause they don't have fingers!
*After something like that is said is when I would throw in a "STUUUUUUUUPID!" go ahead...

The SHAKA...

The sign that means EVERYTHING and absolutely NOTHING at all.
My brother in law Aaron is obsessed with it, says it's the thing he will miss most about Hawaii when he's gone. Daniel hasn't quit doing it or talking about it since we got home...he's even taught the kids. It doesn't matter what I do or say I know 'it's' coming with or without the actually announcement of what it is..."SHAKA!" We almost bought these hideous swim trunks for Daniel just because... if they wouldn't have been 56 bucks I would have purchased them for sure, but I know him better than that and know they wouldn't get used once we were back in OK. The Shaka is a fun simple gesture that unites the locals of Hawaii and completely entertains the dorks from Tulsa that come to visit!

We made a "deal" for him to put himself in this predicament again! I seriously have one of the coolest husbands ever!!! Here is what Daniel looked like stuck in the window the other night but with just his underwear and socks on!

Doorknob Malfunction...

Last night the kids were in bed and I was in the tub enjoying the warmth and relaxation when Daniel decides he is going to come in and join me. I was opposed to this from the beginning for 2 reasons. 1. I'm pretty stingy with my tubs cause they are my time to just lay down and decompress and 2. you should see the two of us with our long old legs trying to fit in the tub together, not the most comfortable of positions I must say, but I thought, "what the heck".
Well when we tried to get out of the bathroom the door would not open because the outside part of the doorknob wasn't tight like it should be so nothing was latching.
We were pounding and yelling our kids names for about 10 minutes with no such luck. Obviously they are hard sleepers and usually once they are gone, they are gone!
Well finally Daniel had to climb out the window and here is where the story gets really good...he tried to go out one leg at a time and was straddling the window (ouch) but soon realized that his one leg wasn't going to be able to touch the ground. When he started to retreat he got himself stuck. Please try to picture this as I describe it....6 foot 6 inch man in his underwear with one leg outside the window, one leg inside in the straddle position. His back was facing me inside but his shoulders and head were both stuck outside and their was definitely fear in his voice and I'm sure on his face too but I wasn't able to see that! I'm not even sure how he got unstuck cause I was on the bathroom floor laughing my head off !!! He managed and then decided to go out both legs first. Good thinking. So he goes to Jaxton's room and starts pounding on that window and yelling Jaxton's name with no such luck again. He finally finds a window that isn't locked to crawl through to get inside. When he opened the door he looked like he had just gotten his butt kicked!
Now that right there was some good times! Maybe I can convince him to get himself stuck again so I can take a picture to post!!! Thanks for the laugh babe and thanks for not making me sleep in the bathroom last night!!!

One month ago today...

my bestie left for California. She wasn't just any bestie, she was the bestie that I hung out with at least 3 times a week during the day. The bestie that a perfect day consisted of going to her house in sweats and sitting there watching her photoshop pictures. The bestie that I could always count on to go along with my crazy girls night out ideas. The bestie I took with me to the mall cause I knew she would tell me which jeans my butt looked best in! The bestie who my sister told things to that I didn't even know about. The bestie who could make me smile no matter what kind of mood I was in. The bestie who did the best dance imaginable in my kitchen when she was like 8 months pregnant and in her 80's clothes. The bestie who wanted to go to Carl's Jr. of all places for her birthday dinner. The bestie who shared all of her best secrets in any and every area. The bestie who was so unselfish with her time and her talents that I was constantly amazed. The bestie that I couldn't help pack when she was moving cause it was against everything that I believe in as a friend. The bestie who I'm pretty sure won't ever be able to be replaced. I'm totally not ok with her being gone. I'm happy for her and Jason. I'm happy that she is closer to her family, but I'm totally not ok with her being gone.
Come back friend....I need you here.
I've been mad at all the places we used to go together. I've been completely anti-social. I haven't even thought about touching my camera. I've organized all my dang closets to keep my mind off of you leaving. It's not getting any easier.
I miss you!!!

Cheater...

I was just driving along minding my own business making a right hand turn on a red light when the following conversation takes place from the back seat...

Blaykli: "Mom you are a cheater!"
Me: "What? Why am I a cheater?"
Blaykli: "You didn't wait for the light to be green."
Me laughing my head off and asking: "What 3 year old knows that besides you sweets?"
Blaykli: "Don't argue with me mom!"
