We made a "deal" for him to put himself in this predicament again! I seriously have one of the coolest husbands ever!!! Here is what Daniel looked like stuck in the window the other night but with just his underwear and socks on!

Oh the joy!!!

Doorknob Malfunction...

Last night the kids were in bed and I was in the tub enjoying the warmth and relaxation when Daniel decides he is going to come in and join me. I was opposed to this from the beginning for 2 reasons. 1. I'm pretty stingy with my tubs cause they are my time to just lay down and decompress and 2. you should see the two of us with our long old legs trying to fit in the tub together, not the most comfortable of positions I must say, but I thought, "what the heck".
Well when we tried to get out of the bathroom the door would not open because the outside part of the doorknob wasn't tight like it should be so nothing was latching.
We were pounding and yelling our kids names for about 10 minutes with no such luck. Obviously they are hard sleepers and usually once they are gone, they are gone!
Well finally Daniel had to climb out the window and here is where the story gets really good...he tried to go out one leg at a time and was straddling the window (ouch) but soon realized that his one leg wasn't going to be able to touch the ground. When he started to retreat he got himself stuck. Please try to picture this as I describe it....6 foot 6 inch man in his underwear with one leg outside the window, one leg inside in the straddle position. His back was facing me inside but his shoulders and head were both stuck outside and their was definitely fear in his voice and I'm sure on his face too but I wasn't able to see that! I'm not even sure how he got unstuck cause I was on the bathroom floor laughing my head off !!! He managed and then decided to go out both legs first. Good thinking. So he goes to Jaxton's room and starts pounding on that window and yelling Jaxton's name with no such luck again. He finally finds a window that isn't locked to crawl through to get inside. When he opened the door he looked like he had just gotten his butt kicked!
Now that right there was some good times! Maybe I can convince him to get himself stuck again so I can take a picture to post!!! Thanks for the laugh babe and thanks for not making me sleep in the bathroom last night!!!

One month ago today...

my bestie left for California. She wasn't just any bestie, she was the bestie that I hung out with at least 3 times a week during the day. The bestie that a perfect day consisted of going to her house in sweats and sitting there watching her photoshop pictures. The bestie that I could always count on to go along with my crazy girls night out ideas. The bestie I took with me to the mall cause I knew she would tell me which jeans my butt looked best in! The bestie who my sister told things to that I didn't even know about. The bestie who could make me smile no matter what kind of mood I was in. The bestie who did the best dance imaginable in my kitchen when she was like 8 months pregnant and in her 80's clothes. The bestie who wanted to go to Carl's Jr. of all places for her birthday dinner. The bestie who shared all of her best secrets in any and every area. The bestie who was so unselfish with her time and her talents that I was constantly amazed. The bestie that I couldn't help pack when she was moving cause it was against everything that I believe in as a friend. The bestie who I'm pretty sure won't ever be able to be replaced. I'm totally not ok with her being gone. I'm happy for her and Jason. I'm happy that she is closer to her family, but I'm totally not ok with her being gone.
Come back friend....I need you here.
I've been mad at all the places we used to go together. I've been completely anti-social. I haven't even thought about touching my camera. I've organized all my dang closets to keep my mind off of you leaving. It's not getting any easier.

Me laughing my head off and asking: "What 3 year old knows that besides you sweets?"
Blaykli: "Don't argue with me mom!"

I'm sorry that you have been completely neglected since the end of August. I still love you more than you will ever know. You've been with me through 205 posts and our relationship is only going to get stronger with time.
It's football season and you know what that means...I'm busy being a Cool Chick who wears ORANGE and a mother of 3. Give me some time and I'll get back to posting.

Here is a quick update:
*Quit breastfeeding, something had to go and after 4 months that was on the top of my list.
*Because of that my girls are back to being their small little selves...Hooray for that!
*The Binky Fairy came to visit Blaykli the other night!
*Jaxton has lost one front tooth and the side tooth next to it. You should see him try to eat a hotdog!
*Tyson is sleeping better but is still the most high maintenance child I've had yet.
*Keep your fingers crossed for Daniel and a possible job opportunity.

Jaxton was crying because we made him ride the rides and Blaykli was crying because she was too short to ride the big rides!!!

A little over 6 years ago...

this kid showed up in Stillwater, Oklahoma as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Beginning his 2 year journey for the Church he came to our small little apartment for dinner and there was an instant bond between the two of us. We had the same sense of humor, laughed at the same time when his nerdy companions would do or say something sttuuupppiid. We had tons in common and I felt like I had a little brother instantly. I even told him the first time he sat across from me at our table that I wanted him to marry my sister!!! True story...
Once my sister started coming to town for basketball games he conveniently found an excuse to come over every time she was in town. A special friendship was formed...
Then Kristi's path took a little bit of a U-Turn which none of us were expecting. Elder Jenkins returned home and by no fault of his own also found himself on a path no one was expecting.
To make a really long story short, having recently crossed paths again, they finally decided to listen to me and this kid is going to be my BROTHER IN LAW. I'm so excited I almost pee my pants every time I think about it!

7 years old...

I can't believe this kid is 7 years old today. How the heck did that happen??

HONK...HONK

I HATE going to gyms...they stink, the people in them stink (no offense sister), they are expensive, and I feel like they are a meat market for guys to just check you out and since I'm HOT (see pictures below, wink wink) I don't want anything to do with that!! So, I started a walking club with my friends Fig and McLacey... we walk 2.5 miles almost every week night. It's fun and my butt is finally starting to fit back into my clothes. The whole point of this post though is to show you how cute I look as we are walking SIKE...and to thank my good friends Fig and McLacey for continuing to walk with me even though I look like this...and to tell you that we still get honked at at least 3 times a night!! Obviously Okie's aren't too hard to please!

My Mom...

My Mom left today and I cried.

I cried because the second she left I felt completely overwhelmed. I cried because I'm going to miss her. I cried because I don't get to see her often enough. I cried because it was so nice to have her here to take care of the things I couldn't. I cried because I'm not sure how I'm going to take care of those things yet. I cried because it has been so fun to see her be a Nanny with NO interruptions. I cried because my kids wanted her to stay forever. I cried because the next time she sees Tyson he won't even look the same. I cried because I didn't really get to say goodbye. I cried because my simple "thanks for everything" doesn't even begin to express how thankful I am that she was here for this special time in my life. I cried because I can't imagine my life without my mom in it.

My Mom left today and I cried... a lot.

If deliveries have anything to do with personalities we are in trouble cause Tyson is going to be a stinker with a capital T!! I went in Thursday morning to be induced, got there and the doctor came right in to break my water but I had no water to break (it's still a mystery as to what happened to it). Anyway they started my contractions but every time I had one Tyson's heart rate would drop and wouldn't come back up in a timely manner, which made everyone very uncomfortable. Pretty soon I had a different doctor and many nurses in my room trying to figure out what was going on. They stopped my contractions and started pumping my uterus full of fluids to see if that would help, it did, thank goodness, or an emergency c-section would have been the next step. After 2 hours of fluids they started my contractions again slowly to see how he would react and then got everything rolling. By the time I was ready to push I pushed for about 10 minutes and he was out. While I was pushing his heart rate was low as well and when he came out we saw why...the cord was wrapped around his neck 4 times and it had a true knot in it! Dr. said he might be such a little squirt cause he wasn't getting all those Carls Jr. hamburgers I was eating for him because of the dang knot but he is healthy and happy and eating like his daddy all ready!! He snorts a lot but I'm all about that!! He has daddy's nose and daddy's toes but looks a lot like Jaxton did as a newborn and the best thing is I didn't tear or have to get an episiotomy so I am in love with that little small head of his!

What the...?!*

Don't ask cause I don't even know what to tell you except for I was a freshman (it was a scary time), I love my friend Nikki (she's the one I jumped in garbage cans with), and I'm pretty sure at this time in my life I was secretly hoping my boobs would get this big someday!

Proms to remember...

This beautiful spring weather has inspired me to do my annual spring cleaning, which lead me to the organization of thousands of photos, all of which bring back tons of super fun memories, some definitely more than others, but not many even come close to my PROM pictures.

TABIONA PROM 1997

This was my first Prom experience and it has a great story to go along with it. Tabiona is a tiny town in Utah where Kindergarten through 12th grade all attend the same school, no joke. This particular year there were 16 Juniors total and 1 boy and 1 girl refused to go to Prom with one another. I was dating Bowdy and his Aunt worked at the school so she called Bowdy's mom Gail to see if Bowdy and I would go to Prom but not with one another, me as the boys date and Bowdy as the girls date. Bowdy and I lived 2 hours away from each other and reading back through my journal the only reason we agreed to this was because it was a weekend that we originally weren't going to get to see each other so we thought that going to a dance with somebody else and getting to see each other was better than not getting to see each other at all.

We were so in love! :)

Anyway...here is my date Jerry.

Believe it or not I got the better end of the deal when it came to the date! Except I'm not sure what that smurk on his face is suppose to mean.

Here is that same picture in my scrapbook with Jerry cut out so I could be closer to Bowdy. We were a much cuter couple, you have to admit. You can totally see the cut out line around his head, now that's funny stuff!

In my journal I talk about how hard it was for us to be there but not with each other, like end of the world hard! When I went to the bathroom Bowdy followed me just so we could hug each other. We were both glad to see that night end, it was torture but good times all in one.

Robin and Patsy Sutton hosted a fabulous DIAPER shower for me last night. It was so cute and thoughtful and fun! There is nothing that I love more than having all (well all in one area) of my favorite people in the same room getting to know each other and enjoying each others company. Thank you so much for all who attended and I missed those of you who couldn't make it.

I know it wasn't ever a name in the polls (sorry about that) but it has special significance to me because I had a stillborn brother who's name was Tyson. And there are lots of options here Tyson, Ty or TJ so I'll never get bored with it.

Hooray for that!

Oh and the count down is on 4 weeks from today WOO HOO!!!

5 years ago today...

5 years ago today WE were on our way to the Final Four in San Antonio Texas. That was the first and only time the team took me and Jaxton with them on their chartered "I-m-so-spoiled-I-forgot-what-it-was-like-to-travel-like-a-normal-person" flight that left right out of good old Stillwater, OK. When we stepped off the bus at the hotel there was a large media frenzy going on with people taking pictures and begging for interviews from all of the Oklahoma State players. That was awesome!!!

5 years ago today Daniel was in Sports Illustrated magazine, more than once. He was also picked as the Best Wing Defender in the Final Four and on the All GQ team, go Wheetie!!

5 years ago today my family (Mom, Dad, Kristi, Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Ricky) rolled up to our San Antonio hotel in a grey Astro Van! I will forever kick myself in the hind end for not getting a picture of all of us with that beauty. Every single time I drove it I hit the exact same corner coming out of our hotel, no matter how hard I tried to miss it. Good times!!!

5 years ago today Jaxton wasn't even 2...He looked like this and he carried this flag around with him at all times. He was daddy's biggest fan!!!

5 years ago "Cool Chicks Wear Orange" was born and was all the rage! Kristi and I were just as famous as the boys on the team doing the Horse Dance for all of the fans, taking pictures with people from all over the country, doing television, newspaper and radio interviews of our own and signing autographs on the same basketballs as the other players. That was the life!!!
Five years ago today life was one exciting experience after another. I am so thankful that I got to share that excitement with Daniel and my family and for the memories we have to hold onto one March Madness after another. Life has been very good to us!!!

Have fun in Detroit Daniel, I wish I was there with you.

Rachel our fabulously beautiful and oh so cuddly friend got baptised a week ago last Sunday! It was one of those days that you look at everyone around you and say,

"This has been such a great day!"

Rachel asked Daniel to baptise her, which was such a privilege for him and such a tender moment for me to watch. He has such a pure love for the gospel of Jesus Christ, it means everything to him, which means everything to me.

Rachel was so ready for the waters of baptism. Her countenance was radiating and with every tear that ran down her cheek that day you could feel her knowledge that she is truly a daughter of God become so evident.

Her testimony is so strong. She knows the Book of Mormon is true. She knows the Joseph Smith was a true prophet who saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. She knows that we have a Prophet and Apostles on the earth today that teach us the things that we need to know. The best part about this is she came to the knowledge of these things on her own, with the love and support of her husband and friends.

She will be an amazing member of the Church and I know she will influence many with her special spirit. The things she has been through in her life will make her stronger as she comes to understand that Heavenly Father is aware of her and her struggles and that we have trials in this life to build our character to become the people that He wants us to become so that we can live with Him again someday.

Congratulations Rachel!

We love you and we are so proud of you!
