What is wrong with Overalls???

In all seriousness, what is wrong with wearing overalls? My friends were all making fun of me the other night because I still own overalls (several pairs in several different colors actually) and I still wear my capri overalls in the summer. What is wrong with that? They are the most comfortable thing that you could ever wear and I think they are dang cute. Did I not receive the memo that said overalls were banned forever? If there was a memo somebody better show it to me for proof cause I am absolutely NOT convinced.

These overalls (shown) are on sale at Bloomingdale's for $268.00. I would never pay 268.00 for any article of clothing but doesn't that prove to all of you overall haters that they are obviously still being sold? What is wrong with overalls? I would appreciate all the feedback I can get on this one. No offense will be taken. :)

Cool Chicks Wear Green!!!!

When was the last time anybody celebrated St. Patrick's Day??? I couldn't remember either....so I decided it was time for a GREEN girls night out and it was a blast!!! I picked everybody up in the minivan to break it in and I'm pretty sure every one of these girls wants one now, even if they don't have kids :) Oh and I totally peeled out in it (don't tell Daniel but it was awesome!). We went to Red Robin to eat and then we went to Purple Glaze to use our creativity. (I had to redeem myself because I went to Color Me Mine in Utah while I was there and no, it was not on my list of highlights as you probably noticed, because it was a horrible experience for me.) Afterwards we went out to Cold Stone for ice cream. It was a fabulous time! Just for the record, I am such a fan of Girls Night Out's especially when everybody is a good sport about wearing my crazy outfits!!!

One of those days....

Have you ever had one of those days that you just needed an all out attitude adjustment? Yah, well I'm having one and I'm not quite sure what the deal is. It's not PMS, I'm not stressed about anything, I just have a crappy attitude about totally random and stupid things. For example, Daniel brought his work buddy Mike home today for lunch so that they could watch the OSU game. Mike started talking about how amazing one of the players was and blah, blah, blah and I was like, "Um no, he has a crappy attitude (look who's talking) and I'm not convinced that he is even a good player let alone a great player." (You should have seen the look he gave me) But come on, I was there when OSU had amazing players that played as a team and had awesome chemisty. They went to the stinkin' Final Four. This team has no leaders and to be a good player you have to be a good leader. AMEN to that!!
I knew I was in trouble with my attitude when every single commercial that came on I had something to say about. Such as some SUV they were trying to sell me, stupid and ugly in my opinion, but then again I'm a minivan kind of person :). And that one guys hair do, cut your hair already man, it's hideous.
Then I was ticked off because Daniel's lunch plans totally ruined my non-scheduled day. I like to be lazy and chill in my pajamas as long as possible each morning and especially Friday mornings but no..... today I had 10 minutes to get things picked up and get in the shower and get somewhat presentable ONLY because I had never met Mike before or the pajamas would have stayed on.
To make it worse, they came home right at Blaykli's nap time so she wasn't even about to let that happen cause Daddy was home. GRRRR
And now I have to find a babysitter for tomorrow for something that I don't even want to go to. I hate finding babysitters, where have all the good babysitters gone?
Thank you for letting me vent on my own blog :)!!! I'm going to go get that attitude adjustment now by playing outside in the beautiful weather we are having with my kids.

Hooray for my MINIVAN!!!!!

My dream of owning a Minivan has finally come true!!!! I'm so excited. We weren't planning on buying a minivan yesterday, we just went for our weekly Saturday morning McDonald's run with the kids and then we decided to stop at a few places and look and there it was.......minivan perfection!!!! A little piece of Heaven sitting on the lot right in front of me. It had me at the test drive and Daniel soon followed after his test drive. It's used, cause I'm totally fine with that, but for being used it's practically brand new. It's a 2007 Honda Odyssey with only 11,450 miles on it and in excellent condition. It has leather seats, navigation and a DVD player!!! Daniel is now "Dan the Minivan Man" and I am one happy mother of 2/business owner that is always needing the room and now won't have to worry when it does come to having baby #3. Hooray for me!!!!!! How do I look? You all better give me big Hoorays!!!!

Confession of an Imperfect Me #3

So as stated above, we got a minivan yesterday and it was one of the happiest days of my life!!! But we had a little scare and frankly I think that I deserve the "Mother of the Year Award" for this one, so here's the story. I left Daniel at the Dealership and ran home with the kids to give them a break, clean out the Scion and get some paperwork that we needed to get everything finished. I put the kids in the Scion and buckled them up and then I grabbed a few more things that I had forgotten to get out and took them into the house. While I was in the house I took off all of Daniel's keys that were on his key ring and then I locked the door, jumped in the Scion and took off. My mom called right as I was leaving so I was talking to her and then about 1/2 mile from the dealership I turned around and realized that Jaxton was no where to be found. I thought that he had crawled in the back of the Scion and fell asleep so I was calling his name and said, "Jaxton if you don't answer me in 3 seconds I'm going to spank your little hiney." NO ANSWER!!! My heart sank and I said, "Oh Crap." I had no idea where he was or what had happened to him. I called Daniel and told him that I lost our kid and then raced back home. By this time I was freaking out a little bit but about 4 minutes from home my neighbor called me and told me that Jaxton was at their house and he was fine. I felt a little relieved but was still totally confused. I went and picked him up and asked him what in the heck happened and he told me that when I was in the house he ran upstairs (which you get to on the side of our house) to get some movies so he could watch them on the DVD player in our new minivan. I couldn't believe it but was so glad that he was alright and there you have it, confession #3....I TOTALLY LEFT MY 5 YEAR OLD HOME WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING IT. Please don't turn me in, I'm really not a bad mom!!!! But I'm not really sure this one deserves a Hooray either!!!

Utah Highlights.....

We had a fabulous time in Utah!!! Jaxton got to go into the cockpit of the airplane on the flight out there.

First priority was to see my Gramps, who is doing a little better but still in bed. He's going on 3 weeks of nothing but rest, the poor guy, but getting him better is all that we care about. Here is a picture of his hair after being in bed for 10 days straight. It's definitely a highlight and good to know he still has a sense of humor!!!!

And speaking of hair we got Blaykli's "White Trash Hair" cut while we were there. It went from this....

Saturday was my cousin Parkers baptism. The last time I saw him, he was 5. I love this kid!!!

Sunday we got to meet up with Daniel's sister Christina and her fiance Rob....Congrats you two, we look forward to the sunny wedding on July 12th...Woopee!!!!

Monday we went SKIING!!!! I haven't been for 9 years but it was awesome!!!

So was my BIFF down the mountain, right under the ski lift, OF COURSE!!!!

YES, I lost both ski's, both poles, my beanie and my cockiness :)

I didn't lose my sense of humor though, don't worry, I'm still funny!!!!

We got to see Kesley that night, she is so stinkin' cute!!!!

Tuesday was a girl's night out with some of the gang....totally loved it!!!

AND FEEL ASLEEP...BORING--Seriously, I don't know how you BYU fans watch those games.

Thursday I ran into Bowdy at the gym with my spandex pants on (it was awesome) and had lunch with the other fun gang

Then I packed up and had the flight from you know where with a 6 hour layover/2 kids on the way home. We did get $450.00 in flight vouchers though, so it was worth it because Daniel's flight is paid for when he comes out for my 10 year reunion this summer.
